My name is James Southworth. Most people know me as "the lawn mower guy". Although I have spent the last 27+ years in the outdoor power equipment industry, woodworking and construction have always been my passions. I've had a fascination with this since I was a kid. In the past few years, I have returned to it, and it's what I do for relaxation. Historic preservation, repurposing materials and building custom heirloom pieces is where I find enjoyment. Meadow Creek Woodworking is a division of my primary business, James Southworth & Company, LLC.
Passions
Restorations, repurposing and building heirloom pieces are my passions! I get enjoyment from building "something" from "nothing". Whether that be making a piece of furniture from a pile of lumber or repurposing something that has been discarded into something usable once again. I prefer working with reclaimed materials and older lumber, especially if there's a story behind it's origin.
